Module12- Culture

$8.99

What is culture?  What is cultural competency?  We’re in some type of cultural environment 24/7.  Unless of course, you’re 100% alone.  The amount of time spent in different cultures is an indication of how important they are to us.  Social, family, athletic, educational, religious, etc., are examples of cultures where we spend our time.

Sometimes stereotypes based on culture are used to describe people.  Do you use cultural stereotypes to describe people? Are you familiar with the term Confirmation Bias?

You will use a Cultural Iceberg to identify ways your beliefs and behavior have changed over time.  Give some thought to each area before responding.

·         What has motivated these changes?

·         How were you impacted?

·         Are you happy with the changes you’ve experienced?

·         What are your options?

As in the beginning of this journey, it’s mandatory that you are honest.
